History: Reviews of New Books is actively recruiting new authors for both its feature review and regular review sections. Feature reviews are review essays that typically engage two (or more) recent history books on all periods, places, subfields, and themes. They are 3000-word articles that bear independent titles and may cite outisde work (according the author-date system as described in The Chicago Manual of Style, 15th edition). Regular book reviews retain the standard 500-750-word format.  Authors interested in either opportunity should contace the managing editor.
