| Editorial Information Margaret A. Miller is a professor of higher education policy at the Curry School of the University of Virginia, executive editor of Change magazine, and president emerita of the American Association for Higher Education, where she served as president between 1997-2000. From 2000-2004 she directed the Pew-sponsored National Forum on College-Level Learning. From 1987-1997 she was chief academic officer at the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, the higher education coordinating board in that state; for the prior fifteen years she was an English professor and campus administrator at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.
Rachel Adams is the managing editor of Change magazine, a freelance journalist, and a published poet. From 2002-2005, she served as an editor at Preservation, the magazine of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She received her B.A. in English from the Catholic University of America and her M.A. in writing from the Johns Hopkins University.
