Editorial Associate
Nonprofit publisher of scholarly journals seeks full-time Editorial Associate for academic journals. Must possess excellent command of the English language; have strong time management, writing, editing, and communications skills; and be familiar with proofreading marks and InDesign.
The Editorial Associate will help Managing Editors of publications that are behind schedule, floating among the latest of 34 journals in the department. Duties include overseeing manuscript solicitation/processing, corresponding with authors and editors, copyediting, flowing text into InDesign, and proofreading. This position includes opportunity for growth to a Proofreader or Managing Editor position.
Previous experience with scholarly publications is desired, but more important is that the candidate be an energetic self-starter with natural attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a desire to learn. Please send resume and cover letter to Paula Dohnal.

Editorial Intern
Nonprofit publisher of more than 30 scholarly journals seeks editorial intern for the fall (starting in the first week of September) and potentially beyond. Duties include proofreading and helping journal editors with administrative tasks such as building reviewer databases. Excellent command of the English language is required; some experience proofreading (in Chicago, APA, MLA, or AMA styles) and using Macintosh computers is desired. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter with keen attention to detail and can work between 15 and 20 hours per week.

PT Accounting Assistant
Heldref Publications seeks a part-time Accounting Assistant with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 1-3 years of hands-on accounting related work experience. Primary duties will include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entry preparation. Also responsible for maintaining vendor files and purchase order system. Must be at least an intermediate Excel user and experience with Peachtree accounting software is highly desired. |
